The 2019 Northwest Direct Seed Cropping Conference will be held January 8-9 at the Three Rivers Convention Center, Kennewick, Washington. The conference will explore and share new and proven strategies to improve crop production and ultimately generate positive income for PNW producers.
The conference theme this year is “Fundamentals, Fertility, and Food”. Keynote speaker Lana Shaw, with Saskatchewan Producer Driven Research Group, will tell her story. Sessions will include: Crop rotation and cover crop, soil health/nutrient management/pesticide management, technology and precision ag, direct seed 101, ag business, chickpea/garbs There will opportunities to network and learn from other direct seeders, industry experts, and researchers.
The conference will include low rainfall to irrigated production information. Registration fee is $210 (if a member) or $255 (non-member). Membership dues are $100.
